The Illex Riser Bait 007 R is the slim line ultra-realistic member of Illex riser bait range. It retains the same great swimming action that characterises these new pencil baits. This compact lure casts well and is unusually dense for its size. One great innovation is the angle of the lip that generates erratic darting movements typical of a fleeing prey fish. The best way to work the lure is a straight retrieve. The lure will break the surface on faster retrieves or can be fished sub-surface on slower more controlled retrieves. Key to the development of the riser bait was recreating the action of a startled fish darting upwards towards the surface. During testing, we noticed that the majority of takes happen when the bait is rising. This lure has all the elements you need for long-range fishing for freshwater predators like perch, asp, chub and black bass. A must-have lure for accurate long-range angling from boat or shore. The aerodynamic body design lets you punch through strong winds to keep you fishing at long range in tricky conditions!
